ToonTown is a great, safe and fun game for kids to play online. For my Special Education major, I chose this game because it can be especially helpful for children with Asperger syndrome or autism, because they can learn to communicate with others without the challenges of face-to-face communication, which is what children with autism and Asperger syndrome struggle with. I believe that this is a great game because special needs kids can enjoy themselves while learning different skills, especially communication.

Connecting ToonTown to technology (if it is not a technology enhanced game)

Connecting ToonTown to the NETS standards:

ToonTown is a great, fun and learner positive game that can be used in the classroom to help children with autism or Aspberger Syndrome enhance their communication skills while also learning
